Matthew E. Henry is a multiple Pushcart and Best of the Net nominated poet and creative nonfiction writer who also dabbles in fiction. He is author of the poetry collections the Colored page (Sundress Publications, 2022), The Third Renunciation (NYQ Books 2023), said the Frog to the scorpion (Harbor Editions, 2024), and Promises to Keep (Wayfarer Books, 2026), as well as three chapbooks. His poetry and short stories have appeared both online and in print under the name “MEH": his initials and response to many things in life. Matthew earned his MFA in poetry from Seattle Pacific University, before continuing to spend money he didn’t have completing an MA in theology and a PhD in education. He is a high school teacher who thinks people should spend more time appreciating the awesomeness of squirrels and crows. You can find his work at www.MEHPoeting.com.
