i want to lay my head

on your chest

to feel the vibrations

of when you hum

and hear the steady

beating of your heart

i want to tell a joke

to see your grin and

listen to your laugh

which could lead ever

the most damned

man to salvation

i want to kiss you goodbye

and whisper against your

lips that we will see each

other soon as i

would move the earth

for us be together again

Kathryn Dew (they/them) is a sophomore at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland, PA, where she majors in Writing & Publishing. She's a self-proclaimed history buff and hopes to work as a child psychologist when she's older.
