a poem for my stomach — Terra Hamilton

Lemon poppyseed muffin

cut in half for me + her

a glass of orange juice tangy + sweet

I fed myself whispers of rotten fruit

Bitter coffee that drown in sugar

Empty stomachs speak louder

Than empty thoughts

Terra Hamilton is a writer who enjoys spending time with her golden doodle Luca, drinking highly sugary caffeine drinks, painting, and singing. When she is not writing poetry you can find her outside reading a good book, or watching movies + tv shows and memorizing the entire plot. Outside of being a student she participates in many choirs, show choir, National Honor Society, Music Honor Society, and her school plays + musicals. Terra would love to continue her writing career throughout her upcoming senior year, and in the future as well.
