round as egg yolk

furred like peach

crinkled and creased

like tender kale leaf

soft as plump fish

(and floppy sometimes)

wiggling

jiggling

entirely

mine


Allison Liu is a 16-year-old Chinese American writer currently attending high school in Lexington, Massachusetts. She can often be found working on her novel, photographing the unusual, and dreaming about her cats.
